BIS has National Institute for Standardization (NITS) for managing trainings of national as well as international
level. An online portal has been developed, launched on 1 June 2020 for implementing designs of training
courses, planning, preparing training calendar, organizing trainings on-site/of-site, Registration for courses/
programmes, hostel booking, payment of fees etc. online

Now BIS is in the
process of
launching its next
generation portal
eBIS (manakonline)
integrated one
with advanced
features like AI/ML
based reporting,
mobile based
surveillance, data
analytics, risk
based approach in
surveillance,
engagement with
consumers etc
with a view of ease
of doing business
and user
friendliness for all
of its stakeholders.
This portal will be
launched on 14 Jan
2020 on the
occasion of World
Standard Day
