For Translation Of Indian Standards On Honorarium Basis
Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is a statutory body working under the admininistrative control of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Govt.Of India. [Website www.bis.org.in]. BIS publishes Indian standards under various disciplines of science and technology specifying technical requirements covering products, test methods, systems, terminology etc. These standards contain technical terminology extensively. Some of these standards are available in bilingual version (Hindi and English). The remaining about 18000 standards are reqired to be translated from English to Hindi.
It is intended to utilize the services of competent persons for translating standards from English to Hindi. Such persons would be selected after assessing their translation skills. Suitable remuneration in the form of honorarium upto Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) per 300 words would be paid for the translation services on satisfactory and timely completion of translation work.

मानदेय के आधार पर भारतीय मानकों के हिंदी अनुवाद के लिए आमंत्रण
भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो (वेबसाइट www.bis.org.in) उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य एवं सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के प्रशासनिक नियंत्रण के अंतर्गत एक संवैधानिक निकाय है । भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के संबंध में भारतीय मानकों का प्रकाशन करता है । इन मानकों में उत्पादों की तकनीकी अपेक्षाऍं, परीक्षण पद्धतियॉं, प्रबंध पद्धतियॉं, शब्दावलियॉं इत्यादि होती हैं । इनमें पारिभाषिक शब्दावली का व्यापक रूप से प्रयोग होता है । भामाब्यूरो द्वारा चुने हुए 18000 मानकों का अंग्रेजी से हिंदी में अनुवाद किया जाना है ।
इन मानकों का अंग्रेजी से हिंदी में अनुवाद करने में सक्षम व्यक्तियों की सेवाऍं लेने की योजना है । ऐसे व्यक्तियों का चयन उन्हें अनुवाद का परीक्षण कार्य देकर किया जाएगा । इन मानकों का संतोषजनक रूप से और समय पर अनुवाद करने पर रू.250 प्रति 300 शब्द की दर से मानदेय दिया जाएगा ।
