Benefits:
- Assurance of competence of water supplier/utility to provide drinking water complying to the drinking water specifications, IS 10500
- It ensures an installed and functional water intake works at the source of water
- It ensures water treatment at water treatment plant, safe disposal of residues, adopting appropriate methods and/or processes.
- It ensures Water utilities have established system for water treatment, safe disposal of residues, adopting appropriate methods and/or processes.
- It ensures water storage and distribution to the customer at a specified pressure as per applicable norms/guidelines
- It ensures the plan of action in case of emergency for repairing or restoring the normal services as per the charter of the water utility.
- It ensures presence of plan of action in case of disaster
